radiation source. Mendec Aqua was developed with the specific intent of improving operator protection. The distance between the operator and the fluoroscope plays a key factor in reducing the amount of radiation absorbed. Thanks to the 155 cm hydraulic hose Mendec Aqua allows the operator to stay away from the fluoroscope, and to significantly reduce
radiation exposure.
The inverse square law
The inverse square law describes the principle of reducing the intensity of radiation with increasing distance from the source. The law states that a given physical quantity or intensity (intensity of the radiation in our case) is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source of that physical quantity. For example, by doubling the distance from the source, the intensity of the radiation decreases by four times.
Hydraulic power and control
The hydraulic system allows you to multiply the force applied
by the operator, making it 3 times more powerful, allowing you to easily extrude high viscosity resins. Thanks to its precise ring system, Mendec Aqua allows full control over the operation. The resin extrusion can be stopped immediately by turning the knob counter-clockwise.
Couple limitator
Mendec Aqua is equipped with the exclusive torque limiter, a mechanism that prevents excessive pressure from being applied to the system. When the pressure limit is reached the mechanism idles.
