The "Centaurs in the Looking Glass" project is a collection of 20 abstract paintings in oil and acrylic / canvas or cardboard and 8 three-dimensional installations in the style of Devian-Art. It was temporarily exhibited in several locations and galleries in Bucharest.
The painting evokes moments of personal introspection, the discovery of the primary and instinctive Identity behind the manners and socio-cultural blockages, by identifying memories and emotions, like pieces of an imperfect puzzle.
The installations (the Centaurs) "take out from behind the Mirror", sequences such as the Creator surrounded by 7 Centaurs or it can be interpreted as the philosophical intro-key of the "Primordial Sins", of their splendor and abyss together, dancing, with the Demiurge and his conception at the center, in admiration. The Paintings and Installations in this project are a lyrical extension of the anatomy and applications of implantable medical devices in Medicine, intertwined with poetic and visual communication, each work supported by a fragment of prose or poetry in white verse
Alin Ladaru has a background in analytical studies (Biochemistry, Univ. Al. I. Cuza, Iași), has a Master's in Journalism (F.J.S.C. Univ. Bucharest), is a PhD student in Medicine (Neurosurgery) of the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy ", Bucharest, works in AmCham Romania, is a partner in the EnLife Solutions project (www.enlife.ro) and is Editor-in-Chief of the online publication EnLife News (enLife Medical & News)
Alin Lădaru began his creative journey with cubist painting in the 2000s and after a break of over 2 decades he restarted as a contemporary, amateur artist, whose creative projects are in the area of deviant art and naive-abstract installations made of recyclable materials, mannequin painting, with finishes in acrylic, oil, metal, plastic, glass, hardware components, medical devices, anatomical structures, skull fragments, 3D prints, cranioplasty, toys, combined with furniture structures (wheelchairs) for stability and mobility of the work.
